How to mount it

  1. 1Open the shell and remove the mussel meat, keeping it intact where possible.
  2. 2Pass the hook through the firmer part of the flesh.
  3. 3Fold the flesh around the shank and pass the hook through once more.
  4. 4Wrap bait elastic around the mussel to hold it together, leaving the hook point clear.
